Martin Foot and Ankle has been granted recognized status since 2019 by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons to provide advanced training to Doctors who have completed a 3-year Podiatric surgical residency.

The Fellowship consists of an intensive 12-month surgical and clinical-based practice. The Fellow is actively integrated within Martin Foot and Ankle to practice under the guidance of the Fellowship Director, Dr. Michael Younes, Dr. Jennifer Mulhern, Assistant Director and the other Physicians of Martin Foot and Ankle. The Fellow will be actively engaged in the operating room to learn advanced surgical techniques from the varied perspective of different attending Physicians, therefore maximizing their surgical exposure and enhancing their skills.

The Fellowship program is multifaceted with clinical, didactic, and surgical exposure. From a clinical perspective, the Fellow will be seeing their own patients in the office with the ability to confer with the attending Physician to discuss, review and make recommendations to the patient. Didactics involve monthly journal reviews with the Physicians and lecturing at the local, state, and national levels. As well, peer reviewed research is a component of the Fellow’s experience, elevating them among their peers.

Under the guidelines of our accrediting board, The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), Martin Foot and Ankle is able to sustain surgical volume that allows for two Fellows.

To apply, please email your completed ACFAS application and all pertinent information to SCPRFAF@gmail.com. We will be in contact with you once the application has been reviewed with further instructions. An on-site visit early in the year is required as part of the interview process.

***It is strongly recommended to apply early and contact the current and past fellows as this is a highly sought after program. Candidates are chosen early in the yearly process following ACFAS guidelines.
