I look forward to seeing how this science progresses.  In general, heels are designed for fashion not function.  The altered biomechanics - the way we move and forces are transmitted through our bodies - associated with wearing high heels can lead to significant problems such as low back pain, tight heel cords, ankle sprains and hammertoes. Sneakers are designed with mechanics and sports specific functions as the focus.  Combining science with appropriate biomechanics is very exciting.  If they aer able to come out with a good product these shoes will be embraced by many.
